1- Is there a certain place you'd love to film something on location?
Donnie: Puerto Rico would be nice. First, it's a tropical island! And my wife's family is down there. That'd be great fun!
2- Is there an actor/actress from film history you wish you could have worked with?
Donnie: Phillip Seymour Hoffman was a fave of mine. I knew him socially, but we never worked together. His loss to the acting world is immense! He was a true artist.
3- If you could star in an autobiographical film, who would you like to portray?
Donnie: When I was younger, I'd've said Elvis Presley. Now that I'm older, guess it would be 'older, fatter Elvis!
4- Any particular actor/director/writer you would like to see on the show?
Donnie: I had the pleasure of working with Martin Scorsese a few years back. He's a gem, and clearly an icon! Would be cool to work with him again!
5- Is there a quality to Hanson that you added...and is there anything in particular we should look forward to with his character?
Donnie: He was initially described as 'brash' in the pilot episode. I've tried to give him as much sensitivity as are within the parameters of the role. Especially with those to whom he's loyal, like Jo. I also have tried to lend him a sense of humor.
6- Who is the best dancer on set? Who is the best singer on set? And who is the best drinker on set?
Donnie: Alana breaks into little dances occasionally, and she's awesome! Although Cuba Gooding JR. Sets a pretty high bar for dancing! I never drink and tell, lol!
7- Name the perfect 3 course meal?
Donnie: Beet and goat cheese salad, porterhouse steak, creme brûlée!
8- If you were a superhero. What would be your superpower, your name..and what would your costume be like?
Donnie: Saving people from death. 'Life-man'? Jeans & t-shirt. Sorry, comfort is always key!
9- What training did you receive for the role on Forever?
Donnie: I did a few ride-alongs with Joe Guerra and several other awesome NYPD detectives. All great guys!
10- If you could Front any rock band who would it be and why?
Donnie: Well, I'd want RUSH, but they wouldn't want me. For me, they are simply the best rock band of my time!
11- If you could name an episode on Forever...what would it be called?
Donnie: DANCIN HANSON? ...yeah, there's a reason I'm an actor and not a writer
12- What language would you love to learn?
Donnie: Well, I have some basic knowledge of Italian and Spanish, so let's go with Hindi, what the heck!

Once again Donnie was kind enough to answer some more Questions for us. Maybe this can be a Monthly thing I don't know but here are 5 more Questions he answered. Enjoy!
1. What is a typical day on set? Is there any teasers or spoilers that you can share with us about your character that is coming up?
Donnie: usually arrive on set pretty early. 5-6 am. Have breakfast (a fruit smoothie that I call 'Alana juice' because as far as I know she invented it, and I just had it replicated. Not even sure what's in it! Beets, apples 'n other good stuff!) then into the hair & makeup chairs. Then on set to rehearse/shoot scenes. In between takes, I'll do a little meditating, work on scripts, and catch up with Alana, Joel, Ioan, Lorraine. We usually talk family stuff. How are the kids, wives, husbands, girlfriends, etc..love this group! That's pretty much the template for the rest of the day. Maybe I'm leaving out the multiple trips to craft services where I set out for fruit, but invariably leave with chocolate covered almonds and a handful of guilt. Gonna try to replace 'crafty-time' with push-ups and crunches!
2. I'm not sure what episode you are shooting now What has been the funniest thing or day you've experienced on set? If so we want details.
Donnie: our crew come up with dress up days every now and again. Kinda like a random Halloween moment. Sometime around thanksgiving it was 'pilgrim day'. A great guy named Jeff, an electrician, wore a pilgrim costume that words cannot really do justice! Let's just say that he looked like a combo of marylin Manson & raggedy Ann! Him walking around with cables and tools in that getup! Some images can't be unseen!
3. "The Cobbler " How did you find out about this role? Can you tell us little about your character in the movie?
Donnie: the cobbler was great fun! I play Adam sanders great-grandfather, Dustin Hoffmanns  grandfather if u can get your head around that!...all in flashback to the tenement era of nyc. I'm only in like the first 20 mins of the film, but it was fun!
4. "Experimenter" Can you tell us about this movie and your character?
Donnie: EXPERIMENTER is this cool little indie that'll premier at Sundance film festival this year. Peter Sarsgaard (lovely guy) plays this scientist in the 50's who used questionable/sadistic methods to do experiments on human behavior. I play one of his subjects, Bruno. Cameo role, but again great fun!
5. Just for fun! I've been going back and watching certain episodes of the TV shows that you have been in. What has been your favorite Character to play? Is there another TV show that you would like to be a guest on and why?
Donnie: well, one of my fave shows of the last 5 years is HOMELAND. So it was an honor & privilege to play the role of Hafez A.Z. Azizi in season 3. Great writing! Damien Lewis one of the finest actors, and supreme human beings I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Wow, so many great shows out there! I've been lucky to have acted on many of my faves...SOPRANOS, 24..more incredible writing there...missed out on BREAKING BAD! That surely would've been a highlight!
Spoilers are no fun, but I don't really have any at the moment anyway. Hanson pretty much remains true-to-form!

  1. How old were you when you started acting?
Donnie: I was 15 when I started acting. Did a play called GODS FAVORITE in high school.
  1. How is this role different from the others that you have previously played?
Donnie: the roles that I play on tv tend to be on one side of the law, or the other. So, in this way it's not so different.Mike Hanson's a bit different in that he may come across as a little dense, but we may learn that there's more depth to him than meets the eye.
  1. Do you identify with this character in any way?
Donnie: yes. Mostly in the way that he always means well. Sometimes, flawed as we are, we may not get it right but I, like Hanson always try to approach a thing with good intentions.
  1. You've been nominated in the best actor/actress category for the Oscars. Anything you want to say to your competitors?
Donnie: oh, geez! How did this happen?? Those other guys are such incredible actors, did you who voted not see their work?? If you want a few minutes to review their work, I don't mind waiting...
  1. What is the craziest thing you've ever done on set?
Donnie: any of my onset craziness is accidental. This one was onSTAGE, but still...I was doing this musical comedy...during the scene, the audience was in stitches like never before! As they ramped up their laughter, I revved up my comedic engine. All Pistons were really firing!! Anyway, it was the best audience response to the scene that I'd gotten. When the scene was over, I headed offstage and consulted with my stage manager in the wings. Saying something like 'wow, I really killed tonight, huh?' She suggested I look downward. It was quickly apparent that I'd done the entire scene with unzipped pants, and a shirt hem was poking through the open door! Yay!!!
  1. If you could have a luncheon with any three people (real or fictitious/from any time period/dead or alive), which three people would you choose and why?
Donnie: my dad, who passed when I was 18. 2) my sister, who passed 2 years ago. 3) The musician PRINCE. One of my faves!...the first 2 because there's always stuff u wish you'd said. The 3rd just to have lunch with a genius?
  1. What is the funniest prank played on you or played by you?
Donnie: it was funny to me- one Halloween when I was a kid, me and my buddy rigged up a bucket of water that poured on trick or treaters as we opened the door to greet them with candy. The prank didn't last long, as we were given an earful by some moms...not to mention our own!
  1. If you were stranded on a lonely beach, what are the five things that you would want to have with you?
Donnie: my iPod, a soccer ball, some drinking water, a hammock, and I dunno....a fully gassed-up speedboat? lol
  1. Is there an iconic movie role you would like to have played?
Donnie: Jake Lamotta in Raging Bull. Although, I'd never come close to robert de niro's genius!
  1. Who would your dream leading lady/man be to appear with you in a movie?
Donnie: would love to act with John Malkovich
  1. Favorite hobby?
Donnie: I still love soccer, but knee issues make it tough these days!
  1. If you were not an actor, what career would you most like to have?
Donnie: Rockstar!!!
  1. What is one of your favorite movies to watch?
Donnie: FEARLESS, with Jeff Bridges
  1. Favorite junk food?
Donnie: anything chocolate!!!
  1. what is a typical shoot like on the set of forever?
Donnie: very fun! No one takes themselves too seriously....except me when I can't memorize my lines!!
  1. any specific scene you have enjoyed shooting so far.
Donnie: a scene where me and Alana delagarza were digging through trash for evidence. No idea why.. It was just different and weird!
  1. if you could add another quality to the character of Hanson. What would it be?
Donnie: I'm liking all of his different colors so far
  1. how did you audition for the role of Hanson?
Donnie: it was an on-camera audition because the casting was all done in LA. I basically had two auditions: the initial one, and a callback. However, I had to do one additional one because of some technical difficulties with the camera or something.
  1. who is the prankster on set?
Donnie: no real prankster has evolved yet, but we all are pretty much jokesters!
  1. Any cool stories from your time on the set of forever?
Donnie: I loved working with laura Frazer. I m a huge fan of hers from BREAKING BAD, and it was cool working with someone whos work I so admire!
  1. To round it off would you ever consider - as a whole cast - recording a soundtrack together with you being lead singer?
Donnie: of course I'd consider it!!! Are we going for the most pitiful frontman award????
